On August 16, Chinese men's basketball national player Cui Yongxi posted his first 5-on-5 confrontation video after he was seriously injured through social media, and said that his ACL injury has recovered by 70%. Whether Choi Yongxi will make another NBA in the new season or return to the CBA to play is still unknown.

Choi Yongxi lost the NBA draft last year, but through his performance in the summer league and his own efforts, he signed a two-way contract with the Nets in September. However, Choi Yongxi only played in five regular season games with the Nets, averaging 0.6 points and 0.4 rebounds per game in just 2 minutes, and is still a marginal player in the team.

Cui Yongxi spent more in the Development League. He played 6 games in the Development League, averaging 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1 assist in 14 minutes. However, in the Development League game, Choi Yongxi lost to the Maine Celtics 100-120 at home at the Long Island Nets. Choi Yongxi accidentally injured her knee while landing, resulting in a torn ACL on the left knee. The season was reimbursed.

Cui Yongxi was later cut by the Nets. His two-way contract was only guaranteed in the first year, and there was no guarantee in the second year. Choi Yongxi has been in the recovery stage and he is also absent from the current Men's Basketball Asian Cup due to injury.

Cui Yongxi currently posted a video of himself playing 5-on-5 through social media, and wrote: "The first time he played 5-on-5 after his injury, the ACL injury has recovered by 70%."

Where Choi Yongxi plays in the new season is still unknown. Choi Yongxi naturally wants to compete in the NBA, but his current situation is difficult, and whether to return to the CBA play is still unknown.
