Interestingly, James agent defends Lakers Redick s controversial roster arrangement in G4

James agent Ritchie Paul defended Lakers head coach JJ Redick's decision to let the starter play the entire second half in Game 4.

After being eliminated in the first round, fans of the Los Angeles Lakers and some others raised questions. Most notably, Lakers' concerns are focused on head coach JJ Redick. However, after a turnover in Game 4, Ritchie Paul still supports the coach for the first year.

On the Chris Haynes Briefing EP, the veteran NBA agent explained why he supported the decision to get the starter to play the entire second half.

"You want to win the game," Paul said. "He only sends players he thinks can win. You just want to be a behind-the-scenes manipulator. The last thing you should consider is that when you try to win, someone will feel tired."

Paul defends Redick, but many people don't. Although he coaches the new season, this doesn't seem wise. This is not the seventh game of the NBA Finals either.

This is the fourth game in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Even though they were 1-2 behind, it was not ideal to have LeBron James play the entire second half.

He is already 40 years old and shouldn't have played for that long. James is in great health, but at a certain time, he needs a break. The same is true for Luka Doncic.

Both players have made great efforts on the offensive end. However, they still need to breathe to better control the game.

Ritchie Paul supports the Lakers' decision to change coach JJ Redick

Paul supports Redick, and his logic is also quite reasonable. It is necessary to do anything to win. However, it also requires some common sense.

Doncic has been battling injuries all season. James is in his 40s. It is really unreasonable to have these two players and three other players play the entire second half.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves' roster was given plenty of rest and took the chance in the final minutes of the game.

Anyway, it seems like a rookie mistake the new head coach made. However, the timing of this mistake was awful, perhaps the worst of the season.

Los Angeles needs to constantly reflect in the mirror to prevent this from happening again. However, a 50-win season is not easy.

Redick performed well in the regular season. Now, Paul needs to perfect his skills and at some point embrace another playoff journey.

As long as Paul's client is still in the Lakers and as long as Redick is still in the head coach, Paul will always support him.
