Not drafted by the NBA in 2010, Jeremy Lin averaged 11.6 points and 4.3 assists in the NBA, including his hot performance with the Knicks in 2012.
Former NBA point guard Jeremy Lin announced his official retirement through a touching Instagram post Saturday night.
"It is a lifelong honor to be able to compete with the most intense competitors in the brightest lights and challenge the possibilities the world believes can achieve," he wrote. "I realized my wildest childhood dream and could perform in front of fans around the world. I will always be the boy who feels completely alive every time I touch basketball."
Jeremy Lin, who was not selected in the 2010 NBA Draft, averaged 11.6 points and 4.3 assists in nine seasons in 2010-19. Jeremy Lin quickly gained international fame when he played for the New York Knicks in the 2011-12 season. Especially in 11 games in February 2012, he averaged 24.6 points, 9.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. This amazing performance is called "Lin Crazy".
Lin became a full-time starting point guard in Houston's next two seasons, before having brief appearances with the Lakers, Bobcats, Nets, Hawks and Raptors. He has also played for teams in the Chinese Basketball Association, Taiwan Professional Basketball League and NBA G League.
