Manchester United losers were told "not in their plan" and "will leave"
Anthony joined Real Betis in the January transfer window. Real Betis is reportedly unlikely to sign Manchester United loser Anthony in the summer, as another La Liga team is currently leading the way in the competition for Anthony. The Red Devils allowed the Brazil international to leave Old Trafford in the winter transfer window and transfer to Real Betis on loan until the end of the season. Manchester United spent about £87 million to sign Anthony in the summer of 2022, but he performed mediocrely in two and a half seasons at Old Trafford. Anthony made 62 appearances in the Premier League, contributing just five goals and three assists, and the 25-year-old didn’t start in the league this season before the Red Devils traded him to Betis. But the Brazilian player has performed well in La Liga, contributing eight goals and two assists in 23 matches for Spain. Real Betis has been eager to make a permanent transfer in the summer, while Manchester United wants to permanently remove him from the roster. But now Spanish reports say that his continued stay at Real Betis after the season is "very complicated" and "the main obstacle is to qualify for the Champions League". Now it seems that Real Betis will almost certainly fall out of the top five in La Liga, and this "will directly affect the club's financial situation, and the club will be unable to afford the preferential terms of loan or permanent signing of players." Manchester United have told Anthony that he is "not in the plan for next season" and that the Red Devils are "looking for him, preferably through another loan, hoping that he can stay in shape and improve his market value". Now, Villarreal is likely to beat Betis to take fifth place and get a Champions League spot, they “entered the stage of the game” and the prospect of transferring to Elsumarino Amarillo “has attracted Anthony’s entourage, who are eager to stay in Spain but want to join a team that is more well-known internationally”. The Brazilian player will "perfectly fit into the head coach's plan in Villarreal" as the Spanish club "has the upper hand" against rival Real Betis. It is understood that "clearly" that Anthony "will leave Manchester United again and his fate will depend on the most ambitious project he faces." Former Manchester United assistant coach Rene Meulensteen recently suggested Anthony stay at Real Betis because he has "no future" at Old Trafford. Murrenstin said: "Anthony has no future at Manchester United. If I were him, I would undoubtedly stay at Real Betis. He never really met expectations or value at Manchester United, but he found his place in Spain. At Betis, he seemed to be happier in playing football and living-that's the most important thing." If he returned to Manchester, he would return to the same state he was before leaving, which would be of no benefit to anyone. I don't think he will come back anyway; his permanent joining Betis is perhaps the best choice for all parties.
