Does anyone still remember Persian Jane Nakba? Yao Ming once admitted that his greatest fun in his rookie season was playing games with Nakba.

Bostjan Nachbar, Persian Jane Nachbar, 6-foot-9 inches (206cm), plays as a small forward (SF). He was born in Gradec, Slovenia in April 1980 in the autonomous municipality of Slovenia in the northern part of the Slovenia Republic of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He is a Slovenian native. He was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 15th pick in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft. He played for three teams, namely the Rockets, Hornets (now known as the Pelicans), and the Nets.

Persian Nakba has a soft touch, diverse offensive methods, and excellent shooting ability, especially three-pointers. He has strong explosive power, can force breakthroughs, and completes dunks in the crowd. He has smooth footsteps and good low-post hooking skills. He has also taught Yao Ming, who can understand the team's offensive tactics well, has certain passing abilities, and can connect the team in the offense. However, Nakba has low defensive enthusiasm, lacks defensive awareness, and his offense relies too much on the team's tactics and teammates' passing. He has poor strength, weak style of play, weak ability to fight, and average rebounding ability. In his six-year NBA career, Persian Jane Nakba played 317 games in total, including 25 starts, averaging 17.8 minutes per game, scoring 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks. He played 18 games in the playoffs and failed to get the starting chance. He averaged 17.9 minutes per game, scoring 7.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks. As the No. 15 pick, Nakba performed averagely in the NBA, but during the Nets, he also played some highlights as the team's sixth man.

Local time in the United States, on February 10, 2007, in the New Jersey Nets (now known as the Brooklyn Nets) defeating the Orlando Magic 93:78 at home, Persian Jane Nakba played for 19 minutes, scored 7 points and 1 steal, and captured the highest 10 rebounds in a single game in the NBA career. On February 15, 2007, in the New Jersey Nets' home victory over the New York Knicks 101:92, Nakba played for 32 minutes on the bench, scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists, of which 10 rebounds tied his NBA career single-game rebound record.

On March 9, 2007, local time, in the New Jersey Nets' away loss to the Houston Rockets, Nakba played for 27 minutes against his old club's substitute, making 10 of 14 shots (of which 4 of 7 three-pointers) and 5 of 6 free throws, scoring the highest single-game 29 points in NBA career, plus 7 rebounds and 3 assists. On February 5, 2008, in the New Jersey Nets' home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers 90:105, Nakba played for 28 minutes, scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists, of which 10 rebounds once again tied his NBA career single-game rebound record.

Persian Jane Nakba chose to leave the NBA during the offseason in 2008 and played in Russia, Germany, Spain and other leagues. In October 2017, Persian Jane Nakba was invited to join the Detroit Pistons uniform group and serve as the team's international scout. In May 2018, he officially announced his retirement and continued to serve as an international scout for the Detroit Pistons.
