Ros was born in 1988. He was selected by the Bulls as the No. 1 pick in 2008. He won the NBA Rookie of the Rookie in the rookie season and was selected for the All-Rookie Team.
In his 15-year career, Ross has played for the Bulls, Knicks, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Pistons, Knicks and Grizzlies, and has been selected into the All-Star three times and once in the All-Squad. He has played in a total of 723 regular season games in his career, averaging 17.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.
In the 2010-11 season, Ross averaged 25 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1 steal, winning the regular season MVP, and he also became the youngest MVP in history.
In January this year, the Bulls officially announced that they will retire Rose's No. 1 jersey in the 2025-26 season.
