According to European media TeleSport, free agent and Pacers substitute center Thomas Bryant is about to reach a new agreement. He will leave the NBA and sign with Greek club Panasinaikos.

Thomas Bryant was traded from the Heat to the Pacers last season due to two Pacers inside players Wiseman and Isaiah Jackson, both of whom suffered a laceration of Achilles tendon injuries early. In 56 games with the Pacers, Bryant averaged 15.1 minutes per game, scoring 6.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.5 steals.

As the Pacers reached the NBA Finals all the way, Bryant's chances of playing in head coach Carlisle's rotation were not stable. In 20 games in the Finals, he averaged 8.4 minutes per game, scoring 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds, shooting percentage, three-point shooting percentage and free throw shooting percentage were 48.5%, 50.0% and 78.6%, respectively.

The 27-year-old inside player has played for five teams in eight NBA seasons. If he eventually finalizes a deal with Panathinaikos (or other European clubs), it will be his first professional league appearance overseas.

Panasinaikos hopes to introduce a center with NBA standards throughout the summer. Previously, their negotiations with center Valanciunas broke down because the Nuggets were unwilling to let go of the newly introduced substitute inside.
