May 22 According to the Ass, Real Madrid's introduction of A-Fernandez may affect the club's finances. Whether as a new player or another profitable product for the youth training camp, A-fee will become the focus of Real Madrid's market this summer.
The future of the 22-year-old young player will have an impact on Real Madrid's financial situation, whether it is paying the transfer fee required by Benfica (the club hopes to receive €400,000 to €500,000) or through the right to train, Real Madrid will gain something if Benfica sells the left-back to other clubs.
The Galicia defender spent three seasons at Real Madrid's youth training camp, and AFF joined Real Madrid from La Coruña in the summer of 2017, when he was only 14 years old. Three years later, he transferred to Manchester United as a young player.
These three years have given Real Madrid the right to receive 1.25% of the training fee in any future transfers, although the amount is not large, but as his reputation in Benfica gradually rises, its market value has reached 28 million euros, which is likely to increase significantly.
If Manchester United enforces the buyback terms and pays 18 million euros, Real Madrid will receive an additional 225,000 euros in training fees. If Benfica sells A fees for up to 50 million euros, Real Madrid will receive 625,000 euros in training fees.
Through direct sales and training rights revenue, Real Madrid has achieved self-financing of the youth training camp in many seasons. According to the 2023-24 financial report, the annual cost of the youth training camp is 36.5 million euros.
In the past 20 years, Real Madrid has earned 445 million euros by selling youth training players. Last summer alone, they received €24.5 million by selling players including Rafa Marin (12 million), Nico Pas (6 million), Latasa (2.5 million), Marvin (2 million) and Peter (2 million).
The previous year, Alibas (7 million), Blanco (5 million) and Dothor (4 million) brought the club 16 million euros in revenue. These figures peaked in the summer of 2020, when the club made a total revenue of 93 million euros by selling players such as Ashraf (40 million) and Reguilon (30 million).
For A Fee, Real Madrid can choose to see it as a future fullback, or continue to earn income through him.
