Milovanovich fell on the court in the Red Star's Veteran Memorial this Tuesday, when their memorial rival was PKB Corporazia Belgrade. According to Serbian football media Sportklub, he unfortunately died of two consecutive heart attacks.

This two-time Serbian national team player fell down shortly after scoring the game. First aid personnel quickly arrived at the scene, but failed to rescue him.

In 2006, he was elected the best player in the Serbian League. He is the cousin of defender Branislav Ivanovic. Two years later, he joined Lons, first winning the championship in the French Ligue 2 and then finishing 11th in the French Ligue 1.

Lens Club forwarded the bad news on its official X account: "Lens learned with an extremely painful mood that Dejan Milovanovic suddenly passed away this Tuesday, at the age of 41. The Serbian midfielder who wore a red and yellow shirt from 2008 to 2010 made a total of 47 appearances for Lens."
