L Equipe: Marchi will gradually fade out of Paris main lineup and may be partially used as a right back substitute

Hupu reported on October 27 that a team of reporters from the French media L'Equipe wrote a front-page column about Marquinhos.

During the rehabilitation period, Marquinhos strictly adhered to the treatment plan, continued physical therapy, and then gradually resumed training.

He is not worried, because the 31-year-old knows that he needs to listen to his body, especially when Paris is plagued by injuries. He's still eager to get back to his teammates and finally get the season off to a good start.

With the signing of 23-year-old Zabarni this summer for 63 million euros, it is expected that Marquinhos will drop down the pecking order, at least at critical moments.

But he can also play at right-back, as he did in the defeat to Marseille last month. This summer, the coaching staff and management discussed a plan to replace Moroccan Achraf Hakimi when he needs a rest (for example, he will rest in Lorient on Wednesday) or when he is with the national team.

It will remind Marquinhos of the beginning of his Paris adventure, when he was forced to find some playing time at right-back behind Alex, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Kamara.

Marquinhos' attitude is very good. He welcomed Zabarni without reservation and showed a very open attitude towards him. He even presented him with a medal after the European Super Cup award ceremony on August 13 (2-2, penalty shootout 4-3), although the former Bournemouth player who had just arrived at the team did not appear on the squad.

Competition is certain, but this does not mean sacrificing the good atmosphere of the team.

For many years, Marquinhos has maintained this attitude towards his teammates (Sergio Ramos, Milan Skriniar, Thilo Krell, Nordy Mukiele...), but this has not stopped him from continuing to play an important role in the defense.

Despite William Pacho's impressive performances, the Brazilian remains an important figure in Luis Enrique's eyes due to his experience and spirit.

For weeks, whenever he spoke to someone at the club, he would amuse himself by calling the other person "the European champion." After all the hardships, he is now enjoying the moment. Beyond that, he is said to be "as dedicated and professional as ever" in his thirteenth year with PSG.

For Marquinhos, the 2026 World Cup may be a real watershed in his career.
