L’Equipe: Paris insists Dembélé has no Ballon d’Or clause; will not give him an increase to 30 million after tax

At the same time, PSG will have to renegotiate the salary of its star players as Dembélé's contract expires in 2028. How will Paris Saint-Germain assess their worth when they have considered the collective project a core value for months? Will wages in Paris return to messianic levels?

When Dembele joined Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023, his agent negotiated a very lucrative contract. Exact figures vary depending on the source, but the contract is said to have a monthly salary - the highest in the team - of over 1.5 million euros.

Does this contract, negotiated two years ago when the former Barcelona man was going through an inconsistent season, include a Ballon d'Or clause?

Sources make it clear that the clause does exist and is worth millions of euros. This "Golden Ball" clause has already been included during his time with Dortmund (2016-2017) and Barcelona (2017-2023).

However, at Paris Saint-Germain, the inclusion of such a clause in the striker's contract is considered far-fetched.
