According to Uruguayan media reports, the two Miami International stars - Messi and Luis Suarez, officially announced the establishment of a brand new football club project: LSM (Luis Suárez & Lionel Messi). This is not only a major investment outside of their careers, but also a grand plan to promote the development of Uruguay football.
From conception to reality: cooperation began in 2018
The germination of this project began as early as 2018, and it was originally just Suarez's dream. He hopes to build a truly competitive team in his home country, Uruguay. However, with Messi's addition, the plan quickly upgraded to a more large and influential sports business project.
Recently, the two of them made this plan public for the first time through a video. In the video, Suarez said:
"I want to bring the opportunity I deserve to be for Uruguayan football that I love. We decided to enter the AUF (Uruguayan Football Association) system and participate in the official competition. For me and my family, this is not only an important sports decision, but also an emotional journey."
Then, Messi made a surprise appearance and said:
"I am very happy to be invited by Luis to participate in this project. I hope to do my best to help it succeed."
Starting from the fourth division, the goal is to top division
According to Uruguay, the LSM club will start from the fourth division of the Uruguayan Football League system. Although the starting point is not high, this is a strategic choice for gradual and solid development.
Their goal is very clear: gradually upgrade in the next few years, eventually reaching the top Uruguay league and becoming one of the most competitive clubs in the country.
From the Youth Training Center to the Professional Club: Dreams go further
Suarez has established a sports training center called "LSM" in Uruguay to provide professional training facilities and services for young players. Now, they have decided to take a key step to extend the program to youth and professional football.
The club is not only committed to cultivating local players, but also pays attention to the development of coaches and technical personnel, striving to improve the overall level of Uruguayan football in a systematic way.
Create hundreds of jobs to help local economy
In addition to competitive goals, Messi and Suarez also hope to create a large number of jobs through the LSM project. Whether it is direct positions (such as players, coaches, managers), or indirect related industries (such as catering, transportation, media, etc.), they hope that this club can become an engine to drive regional economic development. The establishment of
LSM not only marks a new chapter in Messi and Suarez's career, but also an important moment in the history of Uruguay's football development. The two legendary stars are using practical actions to provide more young people with a platform to realize their dreams. In the future, it is worth looking forward to whether this new force can occupy a place in Uruguay and even South American football.
