July 1: Omorodion's transfer storm has started again, with Porto's price of 85 million pounds
According to the Mirror, the transfer market of Porto striker Omorodion has once again caused a stir. Last year, Omorodion was close to joining Premier League giant Chelsea, when the Blues were ready to pay £34.5 million in hopes he could compete with Nicola Jacquesson for the No. 9 position. However, the transfer transaction accidentally broke out at the last minute. In the end, Porto signed 50% of Omorodion for £12.8 million and signed a five-year contract with him.
Since joining Porto, Omorodion's performance has been amazing. He scored 27 goals in 45 games, and his value has more than doubled with his outstanding performance. Today, Porto has marked the striker with a staggering price of £85 million. This price tag has discouraged Newcastle and Aston Villa who are interested in signing him. Atletico Madrid is entitled to half of the transfer fee, however, Porto has the option to acquire its additional 15% ownership for £4.25 million.
Omorodion's future is still full of uncertainty, but it is certain that his outstanding performance has attracted the attention of many wealthy families. Let's wait and see where his next stop will be.
