Pierce: Kane will not have a big problem in playing for a few more years, and I don t know who England will take over him

August 1: England captain Kane just celebrated his 32nd birthday. Former England international Pierce said that with Kane's characteristics, his player career is still "long".

Pearce said: "Kane can still play next year's World Cup and play for at least another two years, then Kane will enter the 35-year-old level. But Kane is very professional and his style of playing does not depend on extremely fast speed.

"Now I can't see any reason to retire Kane. I think Sheringham, who still performed well in the later stages of his career. He is a typical example of playing with his brain, and I think so is Kane.

"I don't think Kane will have any problems in the next few years. Instead, I think the biggest question is who England will look for to replace Kane? At present, I have not seen anyone who can take on this role stably."
