Hupu reported on October 14th that TheAthletic reported that former West Ham United coach Graham Potter said that he is open to coaching the Swedish national team and admitted that he has deep feelings for this country.
Porter said in an interview with the Swedish media "Fotbollskanalen": "I am open to any opportunity where I can play a role. Being the head coach of the Swedish national team is an excellent job. I have feelings for Sweden. I love this country and I love it. Swedish football. I am very grateful for everything Swedish football has given me."
Porter coached the Swedish club Östersund for seven years and left in the summer of 2018 to join Swansea in England. Since then, he has coached Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham United.
When talking about his future destination, Porter said that his current financial situation is good and he does not need to consider the next job for money: "My current financial situation is very good, and it has reached the point where I don't need to use salary as a basis for deciding whether to accept a job."
