Effie: Judge Negrera subpoena Laporta, Enrique & Valverde as witness

According to the ruling documents obtained by Effi, Barcelona's First Investigation Tribunal Judge Alejandra Gill approved the procuratorate's request and will arrange the date of testimony for Laporta, Enrique and Valverde, the specific time is to be determined. The judge believes that the three testimonies are indeed necessary, and the prosecutor emphasized in documents submitted last May that these testimonies have a particular relevance to the investigation.

Laporta was previously sued by former judge Joaquin Aguire, but the Barcelona court has declared him innocent of the statute of limitations expired. The prosecutor believes that it is crucial to testify in court and needs to explain his motivation for paying money to a shell company controlled by the Negrera family. The judge also approved the subpoena of Enrique, who coached Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, and his successor Valverde. The prosecution asked the two to testify about the relevant information of the referee report obtained during their term of office and the actual effectiveness of the game's tactical deployment.
