Kevin Rooney announced his parting ways with the Golden State Warriors in a long article in the Players Tribune and confirmed that the Warriors did not provide him with a corresponding contract:
To be honest, I don't know how everything will go next, but I know that I will miss the days of the Warriors, our fans, and the entire Bay Area. This was not an easy decision for me. Trust me, I've been doing well in the past ten years. Year after year, every time the free agent market comes, I always say that as long as the salary is about the same, I will choose to stay. However, this time, the Warriors didn’t give me a competitive, reliable contract, and I didn’t have the chance to choose between the two…or give them a little discount. Unfortunately, this is not an option at all. That contract didn't come in the end. Listen, I understand. This is business. I'm so glad to start a new chapter in New Orleans. I have no resentment about this.
Happy Dear Rooney[heart]
