Shams: Rockets cut Landale, players will go to their next home after passing the clarification period

According to famous reporter Shams, the Rockets will cut Landale's $8 million salary before his 2025-26 season is converted into a guaranteed contract.
Shams added that Landale will sign a contract after passing the clarification period, and TA reporter Kelly Iko said several teams have expressed interest in him.
Landal signed a contract with the Rockets in 2023, with a contract of US$32 million for four years, and is fully guaranteed only in the first year. Langdale is a substitute for Shinkyung and Adams, and has limited playing time. The 29-year-old played 42 games last season (three of which started), averaging 11.9 minutes per game and 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
With Adams returning and Capela joining the team, Landal has no rotation position. And as the Rockets' lineup salary increases, his annual salary of $8 million is no longer cost-effective. Although the two sides negotiated last weekend to postpone the salary guarantee date until July 7, it was still expected to be cut.
