May 25 According to reporter Bill O 'Rear, the Lakers recently tried out Kentucky defender Lamont Butler and Connecticut center Samson Johnson Johnson.
Butler is a 3D guard who has played in college for four years. He averaged 11.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists in his senior season, shooting percentage of 49.8% and 39.1% of three-pointers. The draft pick is expected to be in the middle and late stages of the second round.

Samson Johnson also studied in college for four years. He averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in his senior year, and was 2.08 meters tall and 2.26 meters. In this year's draft, the Lakers only had a second-round pick with 55.
