October 19th After Manchester City's 2-0 home victory over Everton, Foden was interviewed. He believed that this victory proved that the team was on the right path, but emphasized that it must remain focused now.
This victory extended the team's unbeaten record in all competitions to eight games. What do you think of the current state of the team?
I think it shows that we are stable as a team right now. But you know, football changes quickly. We know that if we get a wrong result, it's sometimes difficult to recover from it. So we need to stay focused now and not get complacent. We know what it takes to win the league. This is a small step in the right direction.
Everton has caused you a lot of trouble. How do you evaluate their performance?
They (Everton) are obviously a top team and I've seen them make some of the top teams struggle this year. We knew it wasn't going to be an easy game and they did a really good job of defending and keeping it compact.
