August 23 According to media reports, Sunderland pursues Bologna's central defender Lukumi, but Bologna refuses to release the person. Bologna CEO said that he did not receive a satisfactory offer and Lukumi will stay in the team this summer. Lukumi's agent Simone Rondanini issued a statement.
"I read the words of the CEO of Bologna. I respect him very much and respect the club that has accompanied Lukumi through these wonderful years.
It is natural to feel a little disappointed because our relationship with the club has always been very humane. From the beginning, our plan was that John was here for two to three years, and we knew he was a growing player.
Last year, the club asked Lukumi to stay and we stayed very well. However, since the beginning of the season, both sides have always been clear that Lukumi will have a chance to transfer if there is a suitable offer.
Therefore, I hope Bologna can reflect on it and find a fair and positive solution for everyone. I understand the importance of the club and the players, and I just hope that our requests will be understood as well."
