Eber said: "Overall, from a competitive perspective, this move to adjust the schedule of the international match day is meaningful for both the national team and the club: for example, the national team coach has a longer window to train, and the league schedule is no longer interrupted so often."

However, he also pointed out: "However, this opportunity could have been used to take a broader perspective, and perhaps consider further offseasons in more detail and make additional adjustments."

For Bayern could no longer play during the Oktoberfest due to adjustments in the national team match schedule, Eber said "In Munich, home games during the Oktoberfest are always grand celebrations. I grew up here, supported Bayern Munich since I was a child, and occasionally experienced home games in the Oktoberfest, and I can't be familiar with this."
