La Liga issued a statement stating that after consultation with the organizers of the Miami official league event, in view of the uncertainty that has arisen in Spain in the past few weeks, the organizers have decided to cancel the organization of this event.

La Liga deeply regrets this. This project was an unprecedented and important opportunity in the internationalization process of Spanish football. Hosting official leagues overseas would have been a decisive step in the global expansion of our competition, which would effectively strengthen the club's international influence, enhance player visibility, and consolidate the Spanish football brand's position in the strategic market of the United States.

This project fully complies with the rules and regulations of the Football Association and has been confirmed by the regulatory agency to not affect the integrity of the event. The current obstruction arises only from objections in other special circumstances.

In the context of increasingly fierce global competition, as the Premier League and the Champions League continue to expand their influence and revenue-generating capabilities, such innovative measures are crucial to ensuring the sustainable development of Spanish football. Forgoing such opportunities would hinder the development of new revenue streams, limit clubs’ investment and competitiveness, and reduce the international impact of the entire national football ecosystem.
