On June 30, according to multiple media reports, Chelsea reached an agreement with Brighton to sign Seagulls player Joao Pedro.
It is said that Joao Pedro's transfer fee will exceed 50 million pounds (some say it can reach 60 million pounds), and the player himself has reached a personal terms agreement with Chelsea, and the two parties will sign a seven-year contract until 2032.
Chelsea is currently arranging matters related to physical examinations. If it goes well, Joao Pedro will fly to the United States to become a member of the Blues' Club World Cup. They have entered the semi-finals and will play against Palmeiras in the quarter-finals (9:00 on July 5).
João Pedro is 23 years old and a Brazilian striker. He transferred from Watford to join Brighton in the summer of 2023. He played in 30 games in various competitions for the Seagulls this season, contributing 10 goals and 7 assists. In the previous season, he had 20 goals and 3 assists.
