August 9: Manchester United shareholder Sir Ratcliff attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of the club's training base renovation project. He made a speech and was full of expectations for the Manchester United club.
Ratcliffe said: "Manchester United is one of the world's most well-known brands, comparable to Coca-Cola and Apple. The club has to compete at the highest level commensurate with its size and history. Although having first-class facilities alone doesn't bring us that position, it is indeed one of the key factors in modern football. Today, we have such facilities."
