August 20th Mason Mount revealed in an interview with Manchester United Insider magazine that his 14 consecutive appearances at the end of last season gave him great confidence.
Mount: "It gave me a lot of confidence, and it was very important for me to be able to play games at the end of the season because I had never had such an experience before. It made me know that I could do it and that I was in a very good physical condition. Now, I feel better and more confident when I enter the new season. I carefully reviewed some of the small details that helped me last season and continued to stick to these practices this season, while adding more content to reach a higher level. I feel very good and in a very good shape."
Mount also said that his experience at Chelsea and England is not the only way for him to adapt to Amorin's tactical system. Often helpful: "I obviously have experience playing in his formation and style, so when I joined the team, my experience and knowledge were very helpful. A lot of the modes and movements were very familiar to me. I quickly understood what he wanted, and during the game I would do my best to fulfill his requirements and help my teammates. If young players don't understand certain details well in training, I can help them with my experience."
"We are all helping each other, and over time we understand more and more what the coach wants and how we can improve as a team, so we are constantly improving."
