Official: Atletico Madrid midfielder Lemar joins Girona on loan for one season

Hupu reported on July 31 that Atletico Madrid and Girona reached an agreement on loan for midfielder Lemar. The French midfielder will play for Girona on loan in the new season.
Lemar joined Atletico Madrid after winning the World Cup with France in the summer of 2018. He made his first career debut in the Bedding Army League in the European Super Cup against Real Madrid on August 15, 2018. He has played 186 times for the Capitals team in the seven seasons so far, with a total playing time of 9,259 minutes, contributing 10 goals and 19 assists.
According to Spanish news, the two clubs will each bear half of the players' salaries, and the agreement does not include a buyout clause. Currently, Lemar's contract with Atletico Madrid will be closed in 2027.
