According to the Daily Telegraph, 32-year-old Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min may leave the team this summer window. Although Tottenham has previously activated the renewal clause to extend its contract to 2026, the club plans to reorganize its roster after returning to the Champions League, or obtain transfer proceeds by selling the South Korean star.
Son Heung-min has played 431 games for the team, contributing 169 goals and 90 assists since joining Tottenham from Leverkusen in 2015. This season, he led the team to win the UEFA Cup championship as the captain, ending his ten-year record of Tottenham's career without a championship. Tottenham currently ranks only 12th in the Premier League, and the Saudi League has been chasing it for a long time and may become a potential next player.
