Hupu September 2nd News Porto Football Club has just recruited a Polish international in the Premier League to strengthen its defense. Following the example of national team captain Jan Bednarek, Jakub Kiviol came to Portugal from Arsenal on loan with a buyout clause.

[Must Board] Details of Kiviol: 2m rental fee; 17m forced buyout; 5m bonus; 2m is recorded as a second transfer

Viol was born on February 15, 2000 in southern Poland. He initially played for Tihe Football Club, but soon left his hometown and settled in Belgium. The left-footed player came to Brussels when he was 16, playing for Anderlecht Football Club, where he played until he was 19, before he decided to return closer to home.

"Slovakia is not far from Poland and its language is very similar", so he easily adapted to Slovak culture and football. He made his debut as an adult team for Geresziarne Podebrezzova and quickly attracted the attention of Poland's top club, Jilina Football Club.

His outstanding performance in domestic and European competitions opened the door to the top European leagues, while Viol made his transfer to Italy, adding a new mark to his passport. The centre-back initially played in midfield while Thiago Mota was coaching Spezia and did not return to his familiar position until Luca Gotti arrived.

The long-awaited UK offer arrived in January 2023, when the 1.89-meter-tall and versatile athlete was gradually becoming a new star in the Serie A League. The Polish player faced fierce competition upon arrival at Arsenal, but he was never intimidated, making 68 appearances for the London team in two and a half seasons.

24 of the games were in the Champions League, and 4 of them were still vivid in the hearts of fans who watched the last Champions League: Yakub Kiwell always started as a central defender, and Arsenal defeated Real Madrid in both rounds of the quarter-finals and lost to future European champion Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

From the 2023/24 Champions League quarter-16 loss to the Dragon Stadium to April this year, the left-footed player started 22 games, the Gunners remained unbeaten and had 10 clean sheets of opponents.

As a regular visitor to the Polish national team, the Porto Football Club's new No. 4 player has made 35 appearances for the motherland, 27 of which have participated in the World Cup in Qatar, the 2024 European Cup, the National League and several other major international competitions.
