The end of the Premier League and the start of the World Cup are too close, making it difficult for Manchester United to arrange a profitable tour

Hupu November 05: A reporter from the "Daily Mail" wrote this week's Manchester United insider special issue. The first part is about the arrangement of the club's mini-tour next summer.

The World Cup is likely to prevent Manchester United from conducting another mini-tour once the season ends next year, and may also have a significant impact on the team's pre-season plans.

According to internal news, next season will end on May 24, and the North American World Cup will start on June 11. The interval between the two periods is too short, and Manchester United cannot go to Malaysia and Hong Kong, China, for a tour after the last game as it did at the end of last season - the last tour brought about 10 million pounds in revenue to the club.

United must also judge whether the five-week World Cup will spark more interest in football among the American public or saturate the market, which could affect ticket sales. The World Cup final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, and United plans to start the tour shortly after the final.

Sources emphasized that the relevant decisions have not yet been determined and all options are still under consideration. The current focus of the team is to finalize a mid-season friendly match in Saudi Arabia to make up for the loss caused by the cancellation of the post-season tour.

However, Manchester United has toured the United States in the past three summers and has signed an annual sponsorship agreement of 60 million pounds with Qualcomm Snapdragon. Some people believe that Manchester United may be more suitable to explore the Asian market again next year.

As well as wanting to connect with fans around the world, Manchester United is also currently facing pressure to generate revenue through tours. The team has lost 100 million pounds due to its failure to qualify for this season's Champions League. This situation has also triggered a clause with jersey sponsor Adidas, which requires a liquidated damages of 10 million pounds.
