World Sports: Barcelona will play in the Champions League vs. Newcastle for the first time in the orange third away jersey

September 16th, "World Sports" reported that Barcelona will play in an orange third away jersey for the first time in the game against Newcastle.

So far, Barcelona has not used any away jerseys released this summer. Previously, when playing away against Mallorca and Levante, the team had to use the green jersey from last season because the dark shorts in the second away jersey (with an off-white top with the Nike Kobe brand logo) clashed with the opponent's jersey.

This will be the third time that Barcelona has played an official game at home in Newcastle. In the first round of the UEFA Champions League group stage in 1997-98, although Enrique and Luis Figo each scored a goal, Barcelona lost 2-3 because Asprila scored a hat-trick. In the final round of the second stage of the 2002-03 Champions League group stage, Barcelona won 2-0 with goals from Patrick Cruivet and Thiago Mota. Barcelona wore traditional red and blue robes in both matches.

On the other hand, in order to avoid a long late-night trek, Frick's team will postpone its return to Barcelona the day after the game. In fact, Barcelona will train at Newcastle training base on Friday before flying back to Barcelona. Frick implemented this policy for European competitions early last season. Barcelona's next game is against Getafe at home on the weekend.
