Former Lakers player Lonzo Ball accuses the Lakers of not treating Randle the right way

According to the latest article by Chaitanya Dadwar, senior contributor of US sports media F/W. The Lakers previously had talents such as Randle, Lonzo Ball, Ingram, Josh Hart. They gave up most of the players in the trade for Anthony Davis. However, they chose not to renew Randall because it now appears that there is a fierce debate between the coaching staff and power forward Randall, which has led to a worsening of the team's atmosphere. Lonzo Ball, who was a former teammate of Randle with the Lakers, now stands up to provide some inside details about his role in the Lakers’ relationship with Randle. He recorded his podcast and he said:

"It's one of the craziest things I've ever heard of in my life, when I was on that team [the Lakers]. At the beginning of the season, they had us all sit in the locker room and learn about everyone's role, and then they find Randall, they just talk about rebounding and positioning screens, nothing else. I just thought "What?" So then I thought, no, I said it in a low-key manner. I'm talking about not like him, like one of our best players, he can do anything and then after that, we're going to be different from before. They are in Los Angeles they don't respect him, brother, now look at what he's doing now, he's helping the team to hit the finals. So I'm definitely happy to see him do his thing. ” What Randall did after leaving the Lakers

The Lakers decided not to renew Randall's contract and ended his four-year term with the Lakers in 2018. After leaving the Lakers, he signed with the Pelicans. He then entered free agents and went to the Knicks in 2019. In a big deal in October 2024, Randall was then traded to the Timberwolves, with Divinsonzo in exchange for Towns.

Randall currently plays a key role in the Timberwolves reaching the Western Conference Finals for the second time in two straight seasons. Randall averaged 21.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 14 games in the 2025 playoffs. He was in the Western Conference Finals series. He performed well in Game 3 with 28 and 24 points, respectively. However, he scored 6 and 5 points in Game 2 and 4, respectively.

So far, Randall's contribution is a boon for the Timberwolves, who beat the Lakers and Warriors in five games. He averaged 23.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in those 10 games. However, his unstable performance against the Thunder could cost the Timberwolves their series as they lost 126-128 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals to 1-3 Lagging behind.

The Lakers basically didn't send anything away except some franchise protection, and introduced Doncic before the trade deadline, allowing the team's absolute height and franchise protection to leave here, resulting in a serious deformity in the team's lineup that made them lose the takeoff wings in the playoffs. Is this correct this season? It's obviously wrong, what do you think?
