July 12th According to the "As", the mayor of Malaga recently announced that the home court of Malaga La Rosaleda will withdraw from the bid for the 2030 World Cup.

Malaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre confirmed the news at a press conference on Saturday: "The most responsible approach is that we do not participate in the bid." Due to the issue of the renovation of the stadium and the adverse impact on the club and fans of Malaga, the decision was eventually led to: "between the World Cup and the club, we chose the club."

This decision was announced after a meeting organized by de la Torre, with the Andalusian government's cultural and sports representative Carlos Garcia, Vice Chairman of the Malaga Provincial Parliament Cristobal Ortega and the judicial administrator of the Malaga Club Jose Maria Muñoz. In addition, several representatives from the Malaga Fan Association attended the meeting, and the association’s president Miguel Molina was also among them.

At the press conference, it was reported that Valencia, which was initially excluded by the Spanish Football Association, may become a replacement. At the same time, it was also made clear that this would not prompt the improvement of existing stadiums or the construction of new stadiums.

Fierce political debate and influence on local clubs led to Malaga becoming the first city to withdraw from the 11 candidate cities selected by the Spanish Football Association. During the initial assessment, Valencia and Valados were excluded due to various factors.

The Spanish Football Association and its chairman Raphael Luzan have been warning that the process is long. For example, when the United States, Mexico and Canada jointly bid for the 2026 World Cup, the host city changed. Malaga's withdrawal was the first challenge encountered in Spain's bid. Given its importance and the projected one of the most advanced stadiums in the country by 2030, Valencia is the city with the most potential to replace Malaga.
