Klaus transfer to Leverkusen fails, pharmaceuticals are still seeking to strengthen the right

Although Leverkusen has reached an agreement with the player himself, Leverkusen and Nice have never reached an agreement on the transfer fee. Nice insists on higher transfer fees, which is difficult for Leverkusen to accept. Klaus is 32 years old and has a contract with Nice until the summer of 2026, with the option of renewing a contract for one year. After several days of tug-of-war, the negotiations between the two sides have been completely terminated.

In Nice's 3-1 Auxerre game over the weekend, Klaus was not on the roster, which was once interpreted as a signal of his impending departure, but now the transfer has failed.

Leverkusen's demand for reinforcement on the right is still urgent, as the team sold its main player Flynn to Liverpool this summer. In the first round of the new season, both Brazilian Artur, who started, or subsequent guest appearances, and Boku, who was transferred to this side before the final game, failed to show enough level.

It is certain that Leverkusen must sign further on the right to avoid a strength gap. Although Klaus's deal failed, the pharmaceutical company is expected to welcome a suitable new player soon.
