October 19th Atletico Madrid’s new director Alemanni talked about his decision to join the club and his future focus in an interview.

Why did you choose to join Atletico Madrid? How did they convince you?

Atletico doesn’t need to convince me. It's enough in itself, a top club. So (the decision) was very quick and very easy.

What will be your main job in your new position?

We believe that we will mainly focus on how to improve the football level, that is, from the low-level youth teams to the first team, which is the most important thing after all.

Can you be more specific about your scope of responsibilities?

We will pay close attention to everything and all the daily work of the team to ensure smooth operation. Obviously we will also be responsible for dealing with relationships with players, agents, the transfer market and other clubs.

How would you sum up your new role?
