Guardian: Chelsea informs Bayern Jackson of price tag of 65 million; Drapp is seriously injured

Hupu August 31, the latest report by famous Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg, Nicholas Jackson has been staying in Germany and trying to restart Bayern Munich's transfer, but Chelsea is only willing to consider a permanent transfer and hopes to sign a replacement after the striker leaves.

Jackson was allowed to fly to Munich after Bayern reached a loan agreement with a buyout option of 65 million euros on Saturday. However, Chelsea contacted the German club to inform them of withdrawal from the deal after Liam Drapp suffered a hamstring injury in a match against Fulham later that day.

Drapp was sent immediately for examination, with early signs that the injury could be severe enough to take up to eight weeks to return.

Given the team's compact schedule for the next two months, Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca does not want to have only one healthy striker.

However, disappointed Jackson rejected the club's request to return to London and things took a turn. The Senegal international and his agent stayed in Bavaria to try to find a solution with the Bundesliga champions.

Jackson will not be allowed to leave the team on loan. However, Chelsea is willing to approve a permanent departure, but Bayern must pay €65 million for the 24-year-old. Bayern invested heavily this summer and said that at this stage, he could only choose to rent.

The situation is changing rapidly, and Chelsea has to formulate a contingency plan in case Jackson leaves. They are considering a permanent transfer rather than loan, and have already conducted a look at several strikers, including Conrad Hard of Portugal Sports.

The 20-year-old Danish striker moved from North Zealand to Sporting Lisbon last year and scored six goals in 32 league games. RB Leipzig is also associated with Harder.

At present, Chelsea still hopes that Jackson can return to the team.
