Pepe: When Mourinho was coaching at Real Madrid, Alonso often communicated with him

Spanish media Mundo Deportivo reported that former Real Madrid defender and Portuguese star Pepe revealed that when Mourinho was still coaching at Real Madrid, Alonso always communicated with the coach. Pepe also said he would like to see Mourinho coach the Portuguese national team.

Pepe said: "I played with Alonso in Real Madrid, so I know him very well. For Alonso, coaching Real Madrid is undoubtedly a huge challenge, because this club has very high requirements for coaches." During Real Madrid, Alonso and Pepe were teammates for 5 years.

"When Mourinho was still coaching at Real Madrid, Alonso was always actively seeking all kinds of help and communicating frequently with Mourinho. Alonso would ask Mourinho why such things were handled this way, and would bravely express his opinions. Now, as Alonso is the head coach, this is undoubtedly a huge test for him." Pepe said.
