Hupu, August 17th, Crystal Palace central defender Chris Richards was interviewed by Sky Sports after a 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
"We have been working hard to cooperate. Last season, Club World Cup and preseason, we all saw Chelsea's performance, so the draw is still a good result and a good way to start the season. We can continue to move forward with such performance.
We talked about a tough game. We knew the game would not be perfect, but as long as we keep a clean sheet, this game is very important."
Regarding Eberec Eze's free kick was invalid:
"Everyone on the court thought it was a goal, but the existence and results of VAR determined the victory or defeat of the game, and today we lost the chance to score.
This is a great free kick, I hope we can score more goals."
Do you care about the off-court crisis that Crystal Palace faces this season?
"We try our best to ignore the noise from the outside world and keep working hard. This is a game where we can keep moving forward, and now we are going to compete in the European competition on Thursday. The transfer window is still open, so we don't know who will stay and who will leave. We hope to continue working hard on the basis of last year, win more championships and get a higher ranking in the standings."
